Digital File Submission Guidelines
The digital applications supported by Graphic Controls LLC are listed below. All
applications listed are specifically designed for the print media / publishing
industry, and we utilize only the most current versions available. To ensure
that the product you receive is of the highest quality, we ask that you forward
the originally created file in one of the formats listed below. Please include
all supporting files and fonts with your digital files.

Files sent in applications deviating from those listed above will result in
recreation of your design into acceptable format. Please keep in mind an
extended period of time will be required for our artist to recreate your
design.
If others have capabilities that we do not, please advise and we will upgrade
our capabilities.
Microsoft files are NOT acceptable:
Microsoft Word, Works, Word Perfect, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint. These
applications are not designed for print application and cannot be used in
printing workflows.
Web Files are NOT acceptable:

All internet/web artwork is low resolution. These images are 72dpi, made to be
only viewed on a computer monitor. They are not high enough resolution for
print.

All photographic images should be scanned in a 300dpi resolution. Bitmap images
(black and white) should be scanned at 1200dpi.
We also need to know:

If the file you are sending came from a Mac or PC?
-
What the PMS (Pantone?Matching System) Colors are?

Is there a special or pattern varnish area?
-
Is there Sequential Numbering?
-
Is there a Security Feature?
-
Are there internal Perforations?
Fonts:
Please include all fonts with your digital files. If possible, using a vector
base application i.e. Freehand, Illustrator, Coral Draw convert fonts to paths.
This will convert the selected font to a working line drawing.
File Transportation:
All artwork can be uploaded to our internal servers by using the
Artwork Upload area. This requires that you already have an account
with us, if you do not have an account you can create
an account in just a few minutes. Smaller artwork files can be e-mailed
to tickets@graphiccontrols.com. In addition to e-mail we can support any
removable disk media for transporting files to: Graphic Controls LLC 400

Important Notes:
Please supply a hard copy printout of the digital files that you are submitting.
In addition to the print outs please supply a previously printed sample of your
current ticket that is thermally imaged on.
